VA Disability Exams
Dr. Hopen is contracted to conduct VA disability examinations for Veteran Evaluation Services (VES) (contracted by the VA), REE Medical (private organization) (private organization), Patriot Benefit Consulting (private organization). and Veterans Educating Veterans (private organization).
This page serves to help Veterans navigate how to get possibly get a VA disability exam with Dr. Hopen through the various organizations she has contracted with as well as how to receive copies of the evaluation after the examination has been completed.
If you are need of a VA disability exam, you can either:
1) Contact the VA to start the process (for an initial evaluation, or reexamination of an established service-connected condition). There is no guarantee that you will be assigned to Dr. Hopen, but you can request to have your examination in Oak Harbor, WA.
OR
2) Contact Ree Medical (for reexamination of an established service-connected condition). A Ree team member will assist you with scheduling an appointment with Dr. Hopen.
OR
3) Contact Patriot Benefit Consulting (PBC) (for reexamination of an established service-connected condition). A PBC team member will assist you with scheduling an appointment with Dr. Hopen.
OR
3) Contact Veterans Educating Veterans (VEV) (for reexamination of an established service-connected condition). A VEV team member will assist you with scheduling an appointment with Dr. Hopen.
How to request a copy of your final report:

If your examination appointment was through REE Medical, please request your copies from your assigned advocate.

If your examination appointment was through Patriot Benefit Consulting, please request your copies from your assigned advocate.

If your examination appointment was through Veterans Educating Veterans, please request your copies from your assigned advocate.

If your examination appointment was through Veteran Evaluation Services (VES), per VA directive, Dr. Hopen is NOT authorized to provide you with the results.
